Louis Vuitton Oceania appoints new managing director
As general manager of Sephora’s ANZ business, Amelia developed the local store network and launched e-commerce across both markets.
Prior to the management role, Amelia served as Sephora’s regional director for business development and was based in Singapore, where she was instrumental in the launch of the business in several Southeast Asian countries.
She previously held management roles at Virgin Airlines and Lorna Jane.
Amelia started on her new role at Louis Vuitton on January 2.
Louis Vuitton’s parent company LVMH Moët Hennessy recorded revenue of €21.8 billion in the first half of 2018, an increase of 10 per cent from the previous corresponding period.
Organic revenue growth was 12 per cent compared to the same period in 2017. It was up 14 per cent when excluding the impact of the termination of the Hong Kong International Airport concessions at the end of 2017. The United States, Asia and Europe have experienced growth for the period.
In the second quarter, revenue increased by 11 per cent compared to the same period in 2017.
Bernard Arnault, chairman and CEO of LVMH, said the results attest to the strong desirability of their brands and the effectiveness of their strategy.
“Despite buoyant global demand, monetary and geopolitical uncertainties remain,” Arnault said.
“In this context, we will stay vigilant and rely on the talent of our teams and the shared entrepreneurial passion to further increase our leadership in the world of high quality products in 2018.”
