Ebay, ParcelPoint launch integrated returns service
According to research conducted by ParcelPoint, returns are a key pinch point for online shoppers, with 88 per cent of Aussies say a complex or expensive returns process would impact them purchasing again from the same online seller.
The new service will enable Ebay’s 11.3 million monthly visitors access to over 1300 extended hours parcel drop locations.
“We are delighted to partner with leading online shopping destination eBay to offer Australians a more convenient way to return their purchases when it suits them,” said Julian Leach, ParcelPoint CEO and co-founder.
“The partnership with Ebay is an exciting move for ParcelPoint as it directly connects us with 50 per cent of online shoppers in Australia,” Leach said.
“The feedback from a pilot program we ran with Ebay over Christmas was overwhelmingly positive,” he said. “Nearly 70 per cent of the buyers who have tried ParcelPoint via Ebay rated the experience as the best or better than most other return services they had used, and so we expect this will drive even greater convenience and satisfaction for customers.”
Consumers can return goods ‘regardless of the reason’, by purchasing and printing a label to then drop a package at one of the distribution locations.
