Inside Retail Academy is a retail business academy which is focussed on educating and empowering Australian retailers. This is facilitated through ½ day seminars designed to inspire, inform and instigate an evolution within the retail industry.

This year, the seminars will be hosted at the Commonwealth Bank offices in Sydney (The Innovation Lab) and Melbourne (Docklands) highlighting our on going partnership and their commitment to the growth of Australian retail.

After spending some quality time with Australian retailers last year, we began to reimagine the Inside Retail Academy experiences with ½ day events which will include:

  • Tour of the CommBank Innovation Lab (Sydney only)

Michael Ellis (Sydney)

Michael is the Head of Culture at Vinomofo, one of Australia’s fastest-growing companies and a leader in innovation, disruption and values-based company culture.

Michael wants to live in a world where companies engage and empower people to express their unique talents, strengths and creativity as they contribute to a more productive and loving workplace. He believes companies, regardless of size, have a unique opportunity to teach and promote self-awareness and empathy, and in doing so contribute positively to society beyond the workplace.

Previous roles have included; family business owner, expedition leader, teacher, wine writer and educator, personal development coach, and currently Head of Culture at Vinomofo. Michael is fascinated by human behaviour and is committed to helping companies identify and bring out the best in their people.

Kristen_Bull

Kristen Bull (Melbourne)

Kristen is the Learning Development Manager at Cotton On Group, where her team look after the capability needs of over 22,000 team members across the globe.
Having been in education for over 15 years, Kristen’s passion and motivation to push the boundaries of traditional learning are what brought her to the Cotton On Group, where micro-learning at the point of need, is truly coming to life.
Kristen began her career teaching and practicing Applied Behaviour Analysis in the UK and France before making the shift to Learning and Development Consulting back in Melbourne. She worked across multiple industries and pursued further study in Positive Psychology by distance with the US. Before joining the Cotton On Group, Kristen lead the L&D Facilitation and Design functions at Medibank.
With two young daughters, Kristen is dedicated to finding the right balance for her career, her family and her love of renovating.
