International online pureplay, Asos, has launched a first time initiative for the Australian market, Asos Premier, allowing customers to receive orders within as little as two days from the time of transaction.

The new shipping service, launched last night, comes as the company simultaneously launches its new local Returns Portal, offering set prices for same day courier collection or returns via Australia Post.

A Premier subscriptions costs $49 for 12 months and enables two day delivery windows in metro areas, and three days for regions outside of metro hubs.

Sally-Anne Newson, Asos country manager for Australia, said Asos is all about creating an easy, seamless shopping experience for its customers, giving them the opportunity to buy the fashion they want, when and how they want it.

“The launch of Asos Premier in this market is a continuation of our commitment to servicing our Australian customers, giving them the widest fashion choice and the speediest deliveries,” Newson said.

The subscription has no restriction on the number of orders placed per Premier customer within that timeframe, and neither is there a minimum order value. It also offers other membership benefits such as exclusive discounts, early access to sales, and for a limited time a subscription to Asos Magazine (currently only distributed to Asos Premier customers in the UK).

The Returns Portal will also be extended to offer a Store Drop Off service in the coming months, with locations to be confirmed later this month.
