Asos selects student editors

asosOnline retailer, Asos, has named its 10 student editors following the launch of its Asos on Campus campaign in February, aimed to create a new content destination for university students in Australia.

After undertaking a nationwide search, Asos has selected 10 students from six universities across Australia in Brisbane, Sydney, Geelong, Melbourne, Adelaide, and Bathurst.

The student editors selected are Baya Ou Yang, Anthony Graetz, Bonnie Stevens, Eric Ponce, Jessica Alves, Marvic Casingal, Savannah Young, Sharon Jiang, Sophia Athas,  and Bianca Mastroianni.

The students are studying degrees in journalism, marketing, and law and arts, but also boast a range of fashion and editorial accolades, including launching digital magazines and fashion sites, Youtube vlogging, and growing fashion focused social followings.

Over the academic year, the editors will support Asos on Campus by creating content tailored specifically for students, including trend reports, street style snaps and Q&A’s.

At the end of the year one student editor will win an Asos internship and have the opportunity to work for Asos in the Sydney, New York, and London offices.

Asos’ websites attract 71.2 million visits per month and as at August 31, 2014 had 8.8 million active customers, of which 3.4 million were located in the UK and 5.4 million were located in international territories.
