Designteam marketing manager, Victor David, said that in the contemporary business world it’s important to engage the audience in meaningful ways that leave lasting impressions.

“Augmented reality is one of them, where you can show features of products that are otherwise hard to explain, or just show latest products in an engaging, fun way,” David said.

Invitations to the Awards night in May have been designed with Designteam’s augmented reality app, Spot AR viewer, embedded to showcase digital content detailing the event.

“AR drives imagination, playfulness and teaches the audience about products, services and places,” said David. “More engagement is more brand recognition and, eventually, sales.”

The app enables developers to incorporate additional video and interactive content including product demonstrations and walk throughs. Retailers can create integrate personalised brand experiences to attract attention and create customer relationships.

Designteam said that customers expect innovation across all platforms, with an omnichannel approach now fundamental to improving market share.

“If you don’t keep up, you’re left behind,” said David. “Luckily, the retail space is big and customers take time to adapt, but being on the forefront is definitely advisable.”
