The Australian dollar has risen on Friday and is buying 72.06 US cents, up from 70.79 on Thursday.

The Aussie dollar is also buying $1.08 New Zealand dollars; 4.98 Chinese yuan; 81.26 Japanese yen; 55 British pence; and 63 Euro cents.
