The Australian dollar slipped Tuesday buying 72.52 US cents from 72.65 US cents at Monday’s close.

One Australian dollar buys 81.80 Japanese yen, from 81.79 ; 61.74 euro cents, from 61.91 ; 55.28 British pence, from 55.56 and 109.14 NZ cents, from 108.98.
