Australian dollar falls

The Australian dollar has fallen Tuesday, buying 68.64 US cents from 68.73 US cents on Monday.

One Australian dollar buys 74.23 Japanese yen, from 73.88; 62.39 euro cents, from 62.01;  55.22 British pence, from 54.96; and 108.25 NZ cents, from 107.74.

Yesterday morning, the local currency was slightly higher against the greenback, buying 68.75 US cents from 68.74 US cents on Friday.
