The Australian dollar has fallen over the holiday period, buying 70.06 US cents from 71.09 US cents a week prior.

The Aussie dollar also bought $1.049 New Zealand dollars, 4.877 Chinese yuan, 78.66 Japanese yen, 55.91 British pence and 62.22 euro cents.
