Australian dollar rises

The Australian dollar has improved two days in a row, buying 71.17 US cents from yesterday’s 70.80.

One Australian dollar buys 80.42 Japanese yen, from 79.99 ; 61.86 euro cents, from 61.61; 54.10 British pence, from 54.09 ; 109.74 NZ cents, from 109.75.
