Australian dollar rises

The Australian dollar has risen overnight to 70.65 US cents, up from 70.42 US cents on Monday.

The Aussie dollar also trades at 62.75 euro cents, up from 62.67 euro cents; 53.44 British pence, down from 54.20 pence; 78.73 Japanese yen, up from 78.24 yen; 4.753 Chinese renminbi, up from 4.733 renminbi; and remained stable at $1.03 New Zealand dollars.
