Australian dollar strengthens

The Australian dollar has risen Thursday and is buying 73.53 US cents, from 73.42 US cents on Wednesday.

One Australian dollar buys 81.25 Japanese yen, from 81.07 ; 63.37 euro cents, from 63.48 ; 56.92 British pence, from 56.92 and 109.75 NZ cents, from 109.66.
