Yesterday morning, the local currency was at 68.68 US cents, up from 68.59 US cents on Monday.

It was at 68.47 US cents on Monday from 68.31 US cents on Friday.

The local currency was buying 74.28 Japanese yen, from 74.14; 61.39 euro cents, from 61.36; 52.96 British pence, from 53.03; 107.40 NZ cents, from 107.52.

Friday morning, the local currency was at 68.32 US cents from 67.83 US cents on Thursday.
