The Australian dollar has risen Wednesday, buying 67.99 US cents from 67.72 US cents on Tuesday.

One Australian dollar buys 72.83 Japanese yen, from 72.85; 61.71 euro cents, from 61.61;  54.44 British pence, from 54.48 and 107.52 NZ cents, from 107.62.

The local currency rose yesterday morning, buying 67.78 US cents from 67.73 US cents on Monday.

It fell Monday, buying 67.69 US cents from 68.05 US cents on Friday.
