Fashionista, Belinda Seper, has joined Myer as designer business manager.
Her new role will have her oversee Myer’s international and designer business across clothing, footwear, and accessories.
The formerly Sydney-based fashion retailer opened her first store under the Belinda name in 1992, introducing Australian to several previously unavailable designer labels. She later introduced The Corner Store to her stable, and between Belinda and The Corner Store, operated 10 stores at its peak.
Surviving administration in 2011, she now has two Belinda stores, one each in Sydney and Melbourne, and two Sydney The Corner Shops. The Belinda head office also remains in Sydney’s Double Bay.
Recruiting new designers to the Myer stable will form part of Seper’s role, as will hiring and training store staff in a bid to raise customer service levels.
