Catch Of The Day launches Club Catch

Catch of the dayCatch Of The Day has launched an online members-only buying club, Club Catch, to reward loyal members with free shipping, priority access to deals and seven day customer service in exchange for an annual membership fee.

Club Catch, which was operating in a closed BETA before being made available to the public, has so far attracted an average 3000 new members every week the company says, with members spending more than four times than a non-registered customer.

To date over 20,000 members have signed up to Club Catch, with the company predicting strong growth for the loyalty program.

“Based on our current signup rate we expect Club Catch to exceed Costco as the number one buying club in the country by member numbers within a year and half,” said Gabby Leibovich, MD of Catch Of The Day.

Catch Of The Day has 2.7 million non-club members and has enjoyed double-digit revenue growth over the past eight years. Leibovich said the introduction of Club Catch represents an opportunity to further grow market share and distinguish Catch Of The Day from overseas and local competitors.

“Our customers will face no price increases due to changes to the GST, as all our goods are sold and shipped from Australia,” Leibovich said.

“Club Catch evolved from feedback we received from our customers indicating they would happily pay to be part of a membership-based shopping club in exchange for a number of key benefits, including quick delivery and access to quality brands.”

Leibovich said the membership fee of $69 per year “effectively pays for itself in the first order.”
