Charges laid following store standoff

policeA man who stood on the roof of a Perth fast food outlet and refused to come down in a three hour standoff with police has been charged with trespass.

The 28-year-old clambered onto the roof of the Warnbro store, in Perth’s southern suburbs, on Tuesday afternoon, refusing pleas for him to come down.

Negotiators convinced him to get off the roof about three hours after police were called.

He’s been charged with two counts of trespass and has been summonsed to appear in the Rockingham Magistrates Court on February 27.
