Chemist Warehouse catalogue campaign takes top prize

Chemist Warehouse - Catalogue Retailer of the Year Over 3.5MPharmacy chain, Chemist Warehouse, has taken out the top gong at the 26th annual Australasian Catalogue Association Awards event held last week.

In the category for top retailer distributing catalogues to audiences of over 3.5 million, Chemist Warehouse’s ‘Prices are Falling’ campaign beat the likes of Kmart’s ‘Fit for Every Day’, Dan Murphy’s ‘Buyer Guide’ and Coles’ ‘Health and Beauty Dropout’.

“The catalogue in its traditional sense has been challenged, especially over the past year,” Kellie Northwood, CEO, ACA. “Given the low-cost entry point of >19c and their ability to showcase a wider product range, catalogues and letterbox marketing continue to deliver strong return on investment for retailers.”

Commenting on its major win, group marketing manager at Chemist Warehouse, Lia Heim, said catalogue marketing played a pivotal role in its customer’s purchasing journey.

In the supermarkets category, German supermarket giant, Aldi’s ‘2016 Snow Gear’ campaign beat finalists including Woolworths ‘Woolworths Marvel Collectibles 2016’, Romeo’s Retail Group’s ‘Romeo’s Foodland SA – Family Owned & Community Minded’ Kiwi chain Countdown’s ‘Countdown Lockdown’.
