Coles extends Little Shop collectibles campaign

Supermarket giant Coles announced it will extend its Little Shop collectibles campaign for another few weeks or until supplies last.

The promotion, initially due to end on August 28, allows customers to collect free miniature replicas of some of Australia’s most popular grocery brands for every $30 spent.

Greg Davis, Coles chief operating officer, said their customers have been very positive about Little Shop and are having a lot of fun collecting and swapping the miniatures.

“We’ve heard stories about how Little Shop has created mini communities with friends, families, neighbours and work colleagues all helping each other collect,” Davis said.

“We are delighted to be able to continue the campaign for customers who have told us they need more time to complete their sets.”

Little Shop also includes a special edition mini “Big red hand” which also comes with a free $100 Coles gift card.

When the campaign started I could see it becoming a huge success. I have 2 school age kids who were never interested in coming along with me when I did the grocery shopping. But they are now looking forwards to the weekend to join me. They make sure I go to Coles. It has turned into an absolute craze where they have been swapping their duplicates with cousins and school friends to complete the range. It is such a success for Coles. Well done! reply

When the cases coming in stock again? I have my set completed with case very earlier now helping all my friends completing theirs, however they are facing the same problem - nowhere to find the case except those people on eBay are making huge profits on the cases some are selling more than $70. How ridiculous! Coles should have put more cases on shelves. reply

I have had a lot of fun collecting these, it has also brought my youngest daughter and I a lot closer at 23 she has never shown any interest in anything, however this has helped her meet people and learn to have fun, we have collected 6 sets in total, 1 for my daughter and 5 for my grandchildren, unfortuanately we have only been able to get 1 folder, it's a shame there wasn't more brought out, would love to give completed sets to the grandchildren reply

Can you please tell me if they are releasing any more folders. My grandson is collecting these but no folder. I think it's outrageous that people are able to sell the collectables and folders online for outrageous prices. I have checked numerous Coles stores for the folders. reply

You all know why we as geninue shoppers of Coles are not able to get the folders. Staff has been taking the folders themselves and apparently this has happen in many stores but was caught only in one store. Am not surprised that they took the minis to sell too. Just look on gumtree and Facebook and you can see people selling in bulks. Coles should do things right. Assured their customers that they are bringing the folders back and see what th staff is going to do with all their folders that they took illegally. reply

We missed out on a folder too due to the money-makers who buy them up to sell for exorbitant prices when stocks run out. Coles you really do have a responsibility to your customers to release more folders. There are thousands needing them. I just signed a local petition with nearly 1000 signatures already! reply

My boy has enjoyed collecting and swapping with friends, due to autism he gets very focussed on the collecting, he did not get a folder and has the full collection. Apart from eBay, can Coles make more folders available? reply
