COS opens first Brisbane store

H&M’s second-largest brand, COS, has opened its first Queensland store at the Wintergarden shopping centre in Brisbane on Friday, making it the brand’s seventh store in Australia.

The 474sqm, two-storey shop offers a range of menswear and womenswear, including the brand’s spring/summer 2018 collection.

The London-based fashion brand, which stands for Collection of Style, targets a slightly older consumer with its minimalist aesthetic and higher price points. The new store’s design is said to have taken inspiration from local architecture.

“By varying the alignment of the bricks, the façade offers shade from the sun but also allows light to filter into the store; a timeless and tactile material used in a modern and considered way,” the retailer said.

According to COS, the store’s interior incorporates the brand’s aesthetic of functional and modern design from curated lounge areas to bespoke fitting rooms.

“We are excited to open our first store in Brisbane and look forward to being a part of the vibrant city,” said Marie Honda, Cos’s managing director.

“We hope customers enjoy the new store space, the collection and the brand.”
