Cotton On expansion continues

 

cotton onAustralian fast fashion chain, Cotton On, is continuing to grow its global footprint, with plans to open up to 250 stores this year.

Cotton On, which operates in 14 countries, plans to open stores in Vietnam, Brazil, Panama, Colombia, and Venezuela this year, reports The Australian Financial Review.

The fast fashion chain is also looking at markets in sub-Saharah Africa and mainland China.

According to The Australian Financial Review, the retailer has confirmed plans to open 250 stores this year, lifting its global footprint from 1334 to 1584 and boosting sales by between 35 and 40 per cent.

In October last year, the Cotton On Group acquired fellow Australian fast fashion retailer, Supré, and recruited Sportsgirl CEO, Elle Roseby, to lead the discount chain.

Cotton On plans to have more than 2000 stores by 2016.
