Country Road opens ‘lifestyle’ store

image003Fashion brand, Country Road, is expanding its lifestyle store concept with the opening of a new store in Albert Park in Melbourne.

The new store has a cafe with garden and will house collections for men, women, children and home.

“After the success of our Sorrento store of a similar concept, we felt Albert Park was a wonderful location to continue our complete lifestyle offering,” said Darren Todd, managing director, Country Road.

The cafe (named Park) is a collaborative concept between Country Road, Almond Milk Co, and Tommy Collins Bakery ‘The Hamptons’.

image005Todd said the heritage listed building has been updated to reflect the modern Country Road aesthetic, “while still capturing the charm and warmth of a local store.” Heritage statements such as original gold door handles remain, nodding to the history of the space.

The store’s design includes high ceilings with white wood beams sitting below skylights, large metal frame windows overlooking the greenery of the garden.

Country Road also announced they will roll out similar lifestyle experience stores later this year and early 2017.
