Dents launches B2B online ordering system

DentsUK luxury glove and accessory brand, Dents, has launched a business-to-business wholesale online ordering system for Australian boutiques and independent fashion stores.

The B2B system was developed to respond to retailers’ needs for getting the right stock at the right time.

“The Australian market is perfectly suited to this type of service proposition,” said Dents’ managing director for Australia, Livia Michelini. “Our distances are enormous compared to other countries and it’s difficult and costly for sales reps to visit customers often.”

Michelini said with Dents’ new B2B, they can provide their wholesale customers instant access to the company’s global warehouse, where they can instantly see available stock quantities, access their order histories and download marketing tools.

“Of course, they still have the benefit of consulting our sales staff and viewing samples in person, but this is an empowering system for retailers to make product and purchase decisions,” she said.

The Dents B2B wholesale site is managed completely in-house and connects the customer directly with the Dents’ warehouse and inventory system. Stock is updated after processing each order and orders are checked by sales staff to ensure quality of service. Orders can be despatched within 24 hours and delivered between three to five days to Australian capital cities.

“We’ve got a fantastic customer base in Australia and a strong international logistics supply chain to ensure that we can service and deliver to customers quickly and efficiently,” said the company’s global chief executive, Deborah Moore. “Australian customers are savvy buyers and understand technology, which is why we are launching our B2B in Australia before our other export markets.”
