DJs to redesign stores

David Jones, DJs, department storeDavid Jones has appointed brand and retail design agency, Dalziel and Pow, to create design concepts for its store portfolio.

The department store’s new South African owner, Woolworths, plans to double spending on stores, visual merchandising, and systems in an attempt to transform the 177 year old retailer.

With a resurgence of department stores across the globe, the new owner is keen to take back marketshare from other department stores, incoming global brands, and specialty retailers.

Dalziel and Pow’s initial brief is to create concepts and communications for a number of openings later this year.
