DJs to open first Sunshine Coast store

david jones new2David Jones has today announced the opening of its first Sunshine Coast store at Sunshine Plaza in Maroochydore, Queensland.

The new store is planned to open in Spring 2018 as part of the Sunshine Plaza’s $400 million dollar redevelopment.

David Jones Sunshine Plaza will feature the same design format recently featured at Pacific Fair, Gold Coast and Wellington, New Zealand.

The new 8000sqm store will offer a mix of fashion, beauty, accessories and home with a product assortment ‘curated specifically’ to suit the local customer along with a range of premium services including click & collect and personal styling.

It will also feature the department store’s new café concept, the David Jones Café.

The department store also said it will implement a new customer service model at Sunshine Plaza, with an increased focus on full time sales professionals and category experts to provide an enhanced shopping experience with product knowledge across multiple brands.

“Queensland is an important market for us, and we are pleased to be opening our first store on the Sunshine Coast,” said John Dixon, CEO, David Jones. “This is a thriving and vibrant region with a discerning customer base made up of locals and a growing number of interstate and international visitors.
