Domino’s latest acquistion

Domino’s Pizza will take a 75 per cent take in Domino’s Pizza Japan.

In Japan, it is the third largest pizza delivery chain with 259 stores, and is currently owned by private equity firm, Bain Capital.

Domino’s will pay 12 billion Yen for the 75 per cent interest, in addition to 9 billion Yen of new debt funding.

Closer to home, Australian and New Zealand sales have grown by 1.4 per cent in the past 12 months, while Europe network sales have come in 3.1 per cent higher.

Total net profit for the year to June 30 rose 6.4 per cent to $28.7 million.

Throughout the year 40 new stores were opened, with total network sale up by 12.8 per cent on 2012.
