eCargo appoints new CFO

China-based e-commerce solutions provider, eCargo, has appointed Christina Cheung as its new CFO as the company continues to expand global footprint.

Prior to her appointment, Cheung held has gobal senior roles across the energy, healthcare, and FMCG industries in China and Hong Kong including General Electric in Hong Kong and PepsiCo.

Christopher Lau, CEO of eCargo said the business was pleased to have attracted someone of Cheung’s calibre.

“Christina is a seasoned executive with impressive credentials in financial management, mergers, acquisitions, joint venture partnerships, and business development, areas which are key to our international growth strategy,” Lau said.

“She has the ideal experience to help eCargo continue to grow organically, evaluate new growth opportunities, and contribute to our strategy to expand our global footprint in key growth markets, such as China, Australasia, the United Kingdom, Europe, and South Africa,” he said.

Earlier this month eCargo acquired Australian e-commerce consultancy, Amblique, for A$6 million.

Founded in 1999, Amblique is an Australian e-commerce service provider of omni- channel strategies, retail practice, and site optimisation services to help retailers and brand owners, with clients including Cotton On, Michael Hill International, Sportscraft, Matt Blatt, and Tarocash among numerous others.

Amblique will continue to operate under its current name as a wholly owned subsidiary of eCargo Enterprise.
