Chuck joins the Australian based team and is responsible for growing Etsy’s presence for both buyers and sellers in the Australian and New Zealand markets Etsy’s third largest market.

Founded in 2005, Etsy has grown to more than 25 million members and 900,000 shops in nearly 200 countries worldwide.

“Etsy currently sees more than one million unique visitors a month in Australia and 70 per cent year on year on growth numbers that have developed largely organically,” says Chuck.

“The team hope to continue this growth and reach Australians who have yet to discover our community of creative businesses”.

Etsy is planning a series of regional and national initiatives to engage Australians and introduce them to the global marketplace as the leading platform to shop and sell one o fa kind products on an international scale.

In 2012, Etsy sellers grossed more than $895 million in sales.

“We are working to create key partnerships to increase Etsy’s visibility nationally. These collaborations, in both the digital and offline spaces, will introduce Etsy and our community of artists to new audiences. In doing so, we hope to inspire new members to join us in building a peoplepowered economy.”
