The Australian dollar has fallen on Thursday morning, trading at 71.24 US cents up from 71.40 US cents yesterday.

One Australian dollar remained flat at 80.24 Japanese yen; buying 61.92 euro cents, from 61.67; 54.38 British pence, from 54.14 and 108.90 NZ cents, from 108.30.
