The Australian dollar has risen against its US counterpart and is buying 71.65 US cents from 71.59 US cents on Monday, though still short of the 72.06 US cents seen on Friday.
One Australian dollar buys 80.03 Japanese yen, from 80.22 ; 61.36 euro cents, from 61.59 ; 54.51 British pence, from 54.78 and 109.01 NZ cents, from 109.18.
