Finder finds new talent

finderAustralian comparison website, finder.com.au, has appointed Ted Tencza to the newly created role of head of technology and design.

Tencza joins the Sydney-based team after having previously worked as director of engineering at e-commerce powerhouse, Bigcommerce, and senior development manager at local technology company, Atlassian.

Fred Schebesta, director at finder.com.au, said Tencza’s appointment was part of an aggressive growth strategy for the business.

“Ted brings a wealth of technological experience, having refined his career at two of the biggest start ups in Australia and the US,” Schebesta said.

“Employees will be able to grow and learn from him, and with that expertise, we aim to become the number one comparison site in the country.”

Tencza said finder.com.au’s inclusive approach towards its employees was one of the key attractions for taking on the role.

“I really believe finder.com.au is the next big Australian success story, and I’m ready to take the company to the number one spot,” he said.

Tencza will start with finder.com.au March 17 in Sydney.
