Flight Centre CFO moves jobs

06-FlightCentre_signage_2Flight Centre Travel Group’s CFO, Andrew Flannery, has been appointed executive GM of the group’s Australian corporate travel business.

After seven years as CFO, Flannery will now oversee the company’s six corporate travel brands, reporting to Flight Centre COO Melanie Waters-Ryan.

The corporate travel business generates about 30 per cent of the company’s transaction value in Australia and includes the FCm Travel Solutions, Corporate Traveller, Stage & Screen, Cievents, Client Travel and 4th Dimension brands.

“Andrew is a highly experience leader, with a strong understanding of the business and of the value propositions each brand offers its customers,” said Graham Turner, MD of Flight Centre.

“He has played a role in helping to set the corporate business’s strategy and monitoring its performance in recent years in his capacity as a member of our global senior management team or task force. We look forward to his contributions in his new role and are excited by the business’s prospects.”

Flight Centre said it expects to promote Flannery’s successor from within its ranks.

“Overseeing these businesses is an exciting opportunity and I look forward to working with our people as we embark on our next growth phase int he corporate sector,” Flannery said.
