Hello and goodbye for Helloworld directors

helloworld600Travel company, Helloworld, has appointed Rob Marcolina as a non-executive director.

Marcolina is group executive strategy, transformation and IT at Qantas Airways and is a member of Qantas’ Group management committee.

The company also announced Adrian John has resigned from the board, which he was first appointed to in May, 2011.

In June, Helloworld CEO, Elizabeth Gaines, resigned after 15 months in the top job and will step down at the end of the year after a six month notice period.

Gaines, who joined the travel company in 2008, was appointed from CFO to CEO in April 2014 following the departure of former boss, Rob Gurney, who resigned after 18 months in the role.
