HelloFresh launches first app

rsz_hellofreshAustralian recipe box service, HelloFresh, has launched its first app, which integrates ordering from a mobile device with fitness and health information.

The company, which delivers millions of meals to Australian homes every year, says that the free app serves a dual purpose; to educate people how to cook, and to also act as a database of tried and tested recipes.

The HelloFresh iPhone app features access to its recipe database, a recipe timer with multiple alarms, and an integrative feature with Apple Watch to make usage more streamlined.

“The best thing about the new app is that it builds on the things that our customers love most about HelloFresh,” said Tom Rutledge, MD, HelloFresh.

“The account management features make it even more convenient to receive everything you need for weeknight dinners on your doorstep. The health benefits are enhanced with the integration of HelloFresh’s nutritional info in the Apple Health app. And, we’re giving more value to more people by sharing our entire recipe archive with customers and non-customers alike.

“At its core, the app is about helping everyone to become a better cook, which in turn gets them talking around the dinner table. The best thing about food is sharing it and the app certainly facilitates that.”
