Helloworld CEO resigns

helloworld600Helloworld CEO, Elizabeth Gaines, has resigned after 15 months in the top job.

Gaines, who joined the travel company in 2008, was appointed from CFO to CEO in April 2014 following the departure of former boss, Rob Gurney, who resigned after 18 months in the role.

Helloworld said the board will now begin a search process for Gaines’ replacement, “to lead Helloworld through the next phase of growth”.

Gaines will continue in her role as CEO during the term of her six month notice period.

Helloworld, formerly Jetset Travelworld undertook an extensive rebrand in November 2013, replacing Harvey World Travel, Travelscene, Jetset, and Travelworld, as part of its plan to simplify its network of travel agents.
