H&M names 10th Aussie store location

h&mSwedish fast fashion giant, H&M, will open its 10th Australian store at the redeveloped Pacific Fair shopping centre on the Gold Coast in the first half of 2016.

Last week Uniqlo announced it would also be arriving at Pacific Fair in mid-2016, following the centre’s $670 million redevelopment which commenced in January 2014.

The store will be the retailer’s fourth store in Queensland following the opening of H&M at Indooroopilly Shopping Centre, Westfield Garden City and Queen Street Mall.

Spanning approximately 2700sqm and set over two levels, the store will range apparel, underwear and accessories for men, women, kids and baby and the much anticipated home collection.

“We are excited to finally be able to announce our first store on the Gold Coast to be opening at Pacific Fair. We are so proud to offer Queensland four H&M stores which is the most in any state,” said Hans Andersson, Australian country manager for H&M.

“We are also looking forward to introducing our H&M Home concept to the Gold Coast as we feel this really rounds out our wide assortment offering.”

Having entered the Australian market in 2014, today H&M has eight stores in Australia and a ninth store is set to open at Chatswood Westfield on February 18.
