KFC Australia has launched its first ever mobile ordering app in Tasmania.
The KFC Xpress mobile iPhone app allows customers to pre-order and pay for their meals in advance, allowing them to jump the queue when they pick up their food instore.
“We know we have some of our biggest fans in Tasmania so we’re excited to be bringing our brand new mobile app to them first,” said Valerie Kubizniak, acting chief marketing officer at KFC Australia.
Australia is one of the first markets in the world to launch mobile ordering at KFC.
“Australia has one of the highest smartphone penetrations in the world, with more and more consumers shopping and paying on the go. The KFC Xpress mobile app is one example of how we’re innovating the store experience to meet the changing needs of our customers,” said Kubizniak.
Further store expansion of the KFC Xpress app across additional stores is expected in 2014.
