Knight Frank has appointed former CBRE executive, Michael Hanscomb, as director of retail leasing for its Sydney division.

Hanscomb spent almost a decade specialising in CBD retail leasing at CBRE working across Gold Coast, Brisbane, Melbourne, and Sydney markets, negotiating numerous international flagships for luxury brands such as Hermes,Gucci, Ermenegildo Zegna, Tag Heuer, and Longchamp.

He has also previously negotiated leases with international fashion brands such as Topshop, Adidas, Scotch & Soda and TM Lewin, as well as local sites for Jamie Oliver’s restaurant chain, Jamie’s Italian; and River Bar, by Matt Moran, Peter Sullivan, and Solotel Group.

Hanscomb  will work closely with Knight Frank’s Sydney CBD retail agent, Alex Alamsyah, who has spearheaded Knight Frank’s retail leasing team in the Sydney CBD and will help grow the national retail CBD leasing business.
