Last chance for ARA Awards

ARA logoThe Australian Retailers Association (ARA) is encouraging retailers to prepare their submissions for the 2015 ARA Australian Retail Awards, with nominations to close next week.

Entries close on May 8, with the ARA Awards Breakfast to be held on July 2 at the Grand Hyatt, Melbourne.

ARA executive director, Russell Zimmerman, encourages retailers yet to enter to visit the ARA Awards website and submit an entry.

“Retailers still have a week to enter the ARA Awards and create their submissions before judging day. There is an award category to suit everyone – from our HR superstars, retail graduates and mum and dad owner operators, right through to those who have completed an amazing retail store fitout or those leading the way in retail payment technologies,” said Zimmerman.

“Of course, we’re also looking for the Retailer of the Year, Innovator of the Year, and Retail Employer of the Year.

“We have had an overwhelmingly positive response this year from retailers across Australia who have put their hands up and are willing to share their stories. As Australia’s first and largest national retail awards program, the ARA Awards have celebrated Australia’s leading retailers for over 40 years and have become something of an icon in the retail industry.”

Jodie Fox, chief creative officer and co-founder of Shoes of Prey will be keynote speaker at the ARA Awards Breakfast. Tickets for the breakfast can be purchased by emailing awards@retail.org.au. Tickets are $60 for ARA members or $80 for guests, and tables of 10 are $500 for ARA members and $700 for guests.

Award categories include Australian Retailer of the Year, Australian Retail Employer of the Year, Australian Independent Retailer of the Year, Australian Retail Innovator of the Year, Australian Retail Graduate of the Year, Australian Multi-channel Retailer of the Year, Australian Retail HR Rising Star of the Year, Individual Retailer of the Year, Customer Satisfaction Retailer of the Year, Australian Retail Store Fitout of the Year, and Australian Retail Payments Leader of the Year.
