Lorna Jane inks Nordstrom deal

Lorna janeAustralian activewear brand, Lorna Jane, has entered into an agreement with major upscale American fashion retailer, Nordstrom, that will see the Lorna Jane range stocked in its department stores in the USA, Canada, and Puerto Rico.

This is the first time an Australian activewear brand will be available at Nordstrom, with plans underway for Lorna Jane to soon be available in all Nordstrom stores in mainland America.

Founder of Lorna Jane, Lorna Jane Clarkson, said the partnership with Nordstrom came as Lorna Jane opened its first store in Paris at upmarket French department store, Galeries LaFayette.

“We have seen an abundance of international brands come to Australia recently and I am so proud to be able to take a 100 per cent Australian brand to the world and teach women in every corner of the globe about Active Living,” Clarkson said.

“Women around the world are finally realising health is their most important asset and I hope this partnership with Nordstrom and our expansion into France encourages more women to embrace Active Living and lead healthy and active lives.”

Nordstrom VP and divisional merchandise manager, Kristin Frossmo, said the company continued to see strong growth in the activewear business and she was confident Lorna Jane would be embraced by customers.

“We’re always looking for the best the market has to offer.  We felt Lorna Jane was a great fit for us, offering fun, colourful merchandise on a regular basis.  It’s functional and stylish, a combination that our customers love,” Frossmo said.

Lorna Jane pioneered the women’s activewear category in Australia 26 years ago and now has 150 stores in Australia, 42 in the US and stockists in 54 countries.

In addition to Nordstrom, Lorna Jane is also stocked in major European fashion department stores including House of Fraser in the United Kingdom and Breuninger in Germany.

Lorna Jane will be available in Nordstom from mid April and is now open in Paris.
