The Edward Street store will be the brand’s new flagship; the third Queensland boutique for Urbbana, which also has boutiques in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.

The 230sqm retail space and fit out costing over $700,000, will be the the brand’s largest boutique to date.

The store will feature solely local designs with clothing and accessories made exclusively for Urbbana.

“I have had a very positive and growing response from Queensland and Australia’s stylish men,” Sam Abi, designer and founder, Urbbana.

Abi said his is a modern brand with an online store that utilises social media to engage existing and new clients.

He also said that the desire is still there for men to enjoy a bit of luxury while they shop.

“They can come in, receive attentive service, appreciate the real look and feel of materials and have something fitted.”

Abi has found men tend to shop less often but buy more at once.

“They don’t shop regularly for occasions but rather come in for a suit, several full outfits and the accessories and shoes to top everything off,” he said.

“I think because of this, it’s wonderful for men to come into a physical store, receive expert styling and fitting advice and really make an occasion of it when they do go shopping.”

According to Abi, there haven’t always been many pampering experiences tailored for men but the demand is there and men are embracing the opportunity.

“It’s about taking your time and enjoying the experience. You can even have a trim or shave while you’re there,” he said.
