Metcash board chairman, Peter Barnes, today announced the retirement of non-executive director Mick McMahon, effective today.

“Mick has provided valuable counsel and a commercial industry perspective since joining the board in November 2013,” Barnes said.

“However his recently expanded executive business commitments have created some conflicts and reduced his available time, leading to this decision.”

A search has commenced for a replacement non executive director and a further announcement will be made upon appointment.
