Michael Hill revamps e-comm platform

michaelhillMichael Hill International has revamped its e-commerce strategy, launching four new interactive websites in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, and the United States.

The move comes as the jewellery chain seeks to widen its reach across all four of its markets. The new and improved website uses a new brand design and stocks more than 2500 products. The website’s interactive features include a charm bracelet builder, user generated content, and online customer reviews.

The site now also allows customers to shop across multiple devices.
“Michael Hill International is entirely dedicated to our current expansion strategy for the brand, which combines a continually strong brick and mortar store offering, with a substantial investment in digital e-commerce,” Mike Parsell, CEO of Michael Hill International, said.

“A solid e-commerce platform is paramount to the brand’s growth and customer experience, therefore we’re thrilled with the Amblique partnership and new omni-channel service,” Parsell said.

Michael Hill  partnered on the new site with e-commerce consultancy, Amblique, and e-commerce provider, Demandware.
“Amblique is very excited about this global project. We see a strong opportunity in creating a rich user experience backed by high quality media that will engage customers and support their purchase journey across a number of channels.” said Amblique’s founder and strategy director, Justus Wilde.

“Michael Hill offers a broad range from fashion jewellery and customised charm bracelets to watches and engagement rings. Each of these categories present unique opportunities that can be leveraged digitally. We look forward to building a strong, omni-channel focused digital platform to drive sales growth across all markets for Michael Hill,” Wilde said.
