Myer and Ebay join forces

ebaymyerEbay has today announced department store giant Myer, as the latest retail partner to join its global online marketplace.

The move will extend Myer’s reach beyond its stores and own website to eBay Australia’s over eight million monthly visitors.

The eBay Myer store will feature a range of over 10,000 products across a number of categories including Miss Shop, beauty, women’s, men’s, children and toys, home and electrical.

“Myer is an Australian icon and we are thrilled to welcome them on to eBay as they innovate and grow their online offering,” said eBay senior director retail growth, Tim Mackinnon.

“Australian retailers are embracing change and looking for new ways to engage customers, both offline and online. We are proud to help  Australian retailers by making it easier for shoppers to access the brands they know and love wherever, and however they choose to shop.”

Mark Cripsey, Myer chief digital and data officer said,  “Our online store is already one of the most popular shopping sites in Australia and our partnership with eBay is another opportunity for customers to connect with us in a way that suits them.”

“With seven out of ten online shoppers already using eBay, our Myer store will give customers a new way to shop with us and enables us to further enhance their online experience.”

There are more than 28,000 small businesses operating on eBay with the addition of Myer’s dedicated eBay store seeing the online marketplace now home to over 30 of Australia’s largest retailers.
