Department store chain, Myer, has launched its latest brand campaign, Australia Lives Here, to celebrate its 100-year history by showcasing items sold between 1900 and 2000.

The retailer has curated a list of 100 items sold by Myer between 1900 and 2000 that have shaped Australian lives or brought about significant moments of societal change in Australia. Customers suggestions and ideas will provide the final 30 products, with all items to be displayed in an exhibition at the retailer’s Bourke Street flagship store.

Michael Scott, Myer executive general manager, brand, marketing and loyalty, said the campaign caters for a wide range of demographics.

“For my family, it was always a special occasion heading into town from country Victoria for a shopping experience at Myer, and those memories and products have stuck with me over the years,” Scott said.

“Through Australia Lives Here, we are keen to hear from our customers on how these iconic products have played a role in their lives,” he said. “This campaign and exhibition celebrates the beautiful stories that Australians have to share and documents the rich history of our country.”
