Famous US sports league, the National Basketball Association (NBA), has opened its first ever cafe concept.
The sports bar themed restaurant is in the Philippines and aims to target basketball fans.
The NBA Cafe in Manila is a branded dining destination that aims to capture the energy and feel of the all American sport.
Located in the SM Aura at Bonifacio Global City centre, it is managed and operated locally by Haute Couture F&B Concepts.
The food concept features larger than life NBA displays, sports memorabilia, and basketball themed accents and fixtures.
It is the first sports bar and restaurant in Manila that caters specifically to basketball fans and will serve traditional American bar and grill food.
“Basketball is the most popular sport in the Philippines and it makes sense that the first NBA Cafe anywhere in the world would open for our passionate fans in Manila,” said Carlo Singson, NBA country manager, Philippines.
“NBA Cafe Manila is a unique one-stop destination for casual and avid sports fans alike and is another great way for them to experience the NBA first hand.”
The cafe’s interior is branded in the NBA’s signature colours of red, white and blue, and features tabletops that look like basketball courts.
Other design elements include a large bar with huge LCD screens to watch NBA games.
