Queensland’s newest next generation sub-regional shopping centre Yamanto Central is now under construction and set to deliver much needed retail services in Brisbane’s rapidly growing Western corridor by early 2021.
Queensland-based shopping centre owner and manager JMK Retail and development management group DMA Partners are leasing the 20,000sqm Yamanto Central shopping centre, anchored by Coles, Kmart and complemented by an array of specialty tenants including a number of booming local businesses and high calibre independent operators.
The highly anticipated shopping precinct is stage one of the Yamanto Town Centre master plan servicing an already existing trade area of 48,000 residents.
JMK Retail General Manager Vicki Leavy said Yamanto Central was conceived in response to the rapidly growing local population.
“Yamanto has one of the highest population growths in Australia and it is seriously underserviced by retail and dining options,” Leavy said.
“Located 10 minutes from the RAAF Amberley base, we saw significant need and opportunity to invest into this fast growing catchment of young families.”
Offering more than just much needed retail amenity, level one of the three-level shopping complex will include a health precinct with medical centre, pathology and various healthcare providers.
DMA Partners Managing Director Ryan Andersen said Yamanto Central will provide consumers with the same immersive, social destination one would experience at a metropolitan shopping centre.
“Consumers are not only looking for accessible shopping, Yamanto Central will be a community hub, with a fully contained and air-conditioned retail mall, outdoor dining area and playscape, market-style fresh food hall, indoor learn-to-swim facility, and more than 50 specialty shops,” Andersen said.
Committed to developing the next generation of shopping centres, DMA Partners is leasing the centre and already has a range of well-known local and national tenants committed to joining Coles and Kmart at the centre.
