New territory for Pie Face

Pie face nzPie Face has opened the doors to its first New Zealand store in Auckland’s CBD.

South Island-based business owners, Julian Field and Jared Palmer, have secured an exclusive license to operate Pie Face in New Zealand.

The pair has 17 years industry experience between them, with Field also a Subway franchisee with eight outlets in New Zealand.

Field and Palmer plan to open 10 Pie Face stores across the North and South Islands over the next 18 months and 60 within the next 10 years.

The store’s 24 hour license is expected to make it a popular option with the late night crowd, similar to the markets in Australia and US.

The second outlet is scheduled to open in November.

New Zealand is the first master license arrangement for Pie Face. Founded in Sydney in 2003, Pie Face operates 80 stores across Australia, five in New York and is currently planning expansion into the Gulf and India.
