Non-traditional Christmas at The Galeries

The GaleriesSydney CBD’s The Galeries has taken a different approach to Christmas marketing – going fruity this holiday season to reflect an Australian Summer.

Inspired by trends from Spring Summer 2015 runways, the centre’s ground floor has been transformed into the ‘Summer Punch’ pop up ahead of Christmas – a colourful shopping lounge with a fruity theme.

Allowing customers to take a moment between their busy end of year schedules, the space offers treats to recharge including fresh juices, seasonal fruit platters, and complimentary gift wrapping.

Sydney artist Jane Gillings has crafted a Lane Four exhibit Summer Punch. The 3D mural is the final instalment for the public art space for 2014.

Lane Four is an ongoing project to promote and support cutting edge artists. A regular on the Sculpture By The Sea trail, Gillings is known for her imaginative pieces. Bright straws interconnect to form bursts of colour that extend from the walls with recognisable toys from childhood

The Galeries is also giving customers the chance to ‘Get Out Of Christmas Free’. For every $100 or more spent in centre, shoppers go in the draw to win a personal shopper to buy and wrap everything on their shopping list to the value of $2000.
